REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

This group is an intentional community for adults to process the intersections of mental health and LGBTQ+ identity through shared lived experience. This group is peer facilitated and is not therapy.

This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.

This group requires registration and space is limited. Due to space limitations, only those who pre-register will be admitted to group. Each group session will have a new registration which will open each Thursday before group and will close when group is full. If you are able to complete the form, you are registered and will receive a confirmation email before group. If you cannot complete the form, group is full and we hope to see you at a future group!

🗓️ Date: Friday, March 13 2026 🕚 Time: 11 AM – 3 PM 📍 Location: Omaha ForUs – 742 North 109th Court, Omaha, NE 68154 Disclaimer: Each individual in your group that will be in attendance must complete this required volunteer registration no later than 24 hours before the event.

Every 2nd Friday of the month from 11am-3pm we come together in support of the LGBTQ+ community with a special Volunteer Day of Service. 💪🏽❤️ We commit the day to various one-off volunteer projects. This does not require an extensive application process, background check, or regular contribution like becoming a regular volunteer does. This is perfect for organized groups (e.g. employee groups, university-based groups, social groups, etc.) seeking one off volunteer opportunities! All LGBTQ+ affirming individuals are welcome.

19+ D&D

Are you 19 or older and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG)? Come play with a volunteer GM (Game Master) at Omaha ForUs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays!  

Tabletop Role Playing Games are interactive games that use dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a game master (GM).

Character building starts at 4:30pm and space is limited. Game starts promptly at 5pm, so check-in between 4:15-4:45pm to secure your spot. If you have never been here, you will need to budget 10 minutes for establishing yourself in our check-in system.

Print and Zine Workshop with Kim Darling

This intergenerational studio series invites participants to create a collaboratively authored zine exploring LGBTQIA+ identity, chosen family, and shared visual language. Each Tuesday session builds toward a collective publication through drawing, collage, text, bold graphic mark-making, and layered print processes.

Over the course of the series, individual pages come together as a shared archive — edited, sequenced, and bound into a collaborative zine that will be featured in a public exhibition at BFF Gallery during First Friday in June.

No prior art experience needed. All materials provided.

A welcoming, confidential space for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ individuals to connect, share, and grow together. This virtual support group focuses on safety, coping skills, resilience, and building community with others who understand your journey as a caregiver to someone in the LGBTQ+ community.

Teen Dungeons and Dragons:

Senior Community Group

Join us for the gathering of our Senior Community Group!

This welcoming, peer-led space is designed for Friendship, Peer Support, Socializing, and Resource Sharing. No registration or RSVP is needed—just drop in when it works for you. Our Senior Community Group is a peer-led social gathering that focuses on intentional shared space for our elder community members.

Ongoing Gatherings:

📅 4th Saturday of each month | 10:30 AM–12:00 PM

Join us to connect with fellow readers and celebrate the power of storytelling!

Rainbow Readers is a welcoming book club for adults (19+) who enjoy exploring stories, history, and experiences. Whether you are interested in reading about different communities, sharing your current book, or engaging in thoughtful discussions, this group is for you!

While the collective book topic may change monthly, there is no required reading—participants are encouraged to bring a book they love or simply join the conversation.

The club meets on the first Saturday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Omaha For Us.

This intergenerational studio series invites participants to create a collaboratively authored zine exploring LGBTQIA+ identity, chosen family, and shared visual language. Each Tuesday session builds toward a collective publication through drawing, collage, text, bold graphic mark-making, and layered print processes.

Over the course of the series, individual pages come together as a shared archive — edited, sequenced, and bound into a collaborative zine that will be featured in a public exhibition at BFF Gallery during First Friday in June.

No prior art experience needed, all materials provided!

Are you 19 or older and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG)? Come play with a volunteer GM (Game Master) at Omaha ForUs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays!

(CANCELLED) Volunteer Orientation (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

Volunteers who have applied and have been approved by Omaha ForUs can sign-up for an orientation on either the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm or every 3rd Friday of the month from 11am-1pm. Walk-ins are not accepted, as we have a rigorous selection process to guarantee the safety of community members, staff, and the facility. If you are interested in volunteering, but have not completed an application yet, please complete an application here in order to sign-up for a Volunteer Orientation at Omaha ForUs.

If you want to volunteer casually without applying, are ages 13-18 years old, or want to volunteer with a group, please consider our Volunteer Days of Service hosted every 2nd Friday of the month from 11am-3pm. Find the registration for the next one on the Events page!

Looking for a safe, supportive space to hang out, make friends, and be yourself? Come stop by during Omaha ForUs' NEW reoccurring Teen Tabletop Role Playing Game Night!  

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that uses dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a dungeon master (DM). We play both classic D&D and other TTRPGs.

Parents & Caregivers of LGBTQ+ Virtual Support Group

A welcoming, confidential space for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ individuals to connect, share, and grow together. This virtual support group focuses on safety, coping skills, resilience, and building community with others who understand your journey as a caregiver to someone in the LGBTQ+ community.

This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm on Zoom. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm. 

This group requires registration and space is limited. Due to space limitations, only those who pre-register will be admitted to group. Each group session will have a new registration which will open each Thursday before group and will close when group is full. If you are able to complete the form, you are registered and will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link before group. If you cannot complete the form, group is full and we hope to see you at a future group!

19+ D&D

The next 19+ D&D will be on February 3rd.

Are you 19 or older and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG)? Come play with a volunteer GM (Game Master) at Omaha ForUs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays!

Join us for the gathering of our Senior Community Group!

This welcoming, peer-led space is designed for Friendship, Peer Support, Socializing, and Resource Sharing. No registration or RSVP is needed—just drop in when it works for you. Our Senior Community Group is a peer-led social gathering that focuses on intentional shared space for our elder community members.
